Kafe works mainly in an abstract style using bold colour to create ambiguous forms that evoke an emotional response in the viewer.

 

The collection on display here are from a series of abstracts that take bonfire night as their theme. Though details are abstracted bright lights and fizzing sparks that form part of any firework display can readily be interpreted.

 

Colours are bold and vivid in nature and set alongside areas of intense white, all set against the dark backdrop of the night sky.

 

In keeping with the nature of each image all prints are exclusively provided on square canvases. Kallos feel that canvas is the best way of reproducing these images, allowing each image to mirror the look and feel of the original artworks.
